A week to forget

There is only one word to describe the first 3 trading days of 2005 - Drop!

Oil stock drops, China stocks drops, and even the Canadian oil sands company Suncor caught fire. Espeed removed a feature from its trading system, and it fell. It seems like whatever I have chosen last month are proven to be wrong choices.

The last 2 days has recovered some lost ground, overall still down.

The only consolation is I found this book called The Five Rules for Successful Stock Investing. It is pretty good book on value investing. Recommended.

PetroKazakhstan

The first time I heard of Kazakhstan is from the video games "Syphon Filter" series. Who say gaming is not educational? :)

Strangely enough, this is an Canadian oil services company, but operates on Kazakhstan.

Anyway, this stock is very attractive for a few reasons:
1. Impressive ROE
2. Low P/E ratio
3. Low Debt/Equity Ration

Too good to be true huh? You bet - It is not Russian Rollet like Yukos.
